Boto
Boto Gold Project is located in eastern part of Senegal, close to the borders of Mali and Guinea, and at 88 km from the city of Kédougou. This project is one of the assets recently acquired by Managem, all located in the Senegalo-Mali Shear Zone (SMSZ) which hosts several gold world-class deposits such as Loulou and Fekola currently under production.
The project has mineral reserves of 31.5 million tons of ore grading 1.6 g/t gold, equivalent to 1,605,000 ounces.
The Boto project is currently at the construction phase, the plant commissioning scheduled for H1 2025.
Part of the infrastructure including camps, access road and utilities is operational. Pre-stripping of the main pit Malikoundi started in 2024, with mining excavation expected to reach 39 million tons of rock per year over a life of mine (LOM) of 11 years.
The ore will be processed in a CIP plant at an annual capacity of 2.75 million tons.
Average production expected during the first three years is around 170,000 ounces of gold per year, and for the entire Life of Mine (LOM) around 128,000 ounces per year.Managem is undertaking exploration program based on an integrated regional strategy and an objective to increase the LOM and reach future organic growth. The current deposits are still open in depth and laterally and infill drillings are underway for delineation and Resource Extension. In addition to Boto, Managem holds an exploration portfolio in the surrounding area, and advanced Greenfield exploration targets has been identified.
